| Description: | Beautiful Snow Canyon State Park in Southern Utah is the backdrop for the 2010 Native Flute School. The success of the 2008 and 2009 schools is now legendary! This year, the Native Flute School will run to a five day intensive, but will remain reasonably priced. The school has four tracks, for the newest beginner to the seasoned advanced master player, plus a special track focused on the Anasazi Flute. We will also include sessions this year specific to the Healing Drum. This year's school will be immediately followed by the Zion Flute and Drum Festival, being held in nearby St. George Utah. Classes will address jazz flute, composition, ensemble performance and the healing flute presented by great facilitators from across the nation. You will come away with the ability to play with confidence and an understanding of rhythms, tones and improvisation. The native flute is simple to play ... you don't even have to read music! | |||
