The Craft Lake City DIY Festival is an annual handmade arts, science and technology festival, for the purpose of promoting local artisans, DIY engineers, craft foodies, vintage vendors, and performance artists while connecting them to Utahs vibrant arts community, students, educators, and the public at large. We also seek to expand the term "craft" to include handmade items in all areas by launching a new category in 2012, DIY Engineers. Exhibitors in this category present and vended items that they made by hand using science and technology tools. In 2013 the festival expanded into a two-day event, beginning Friday night from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and running Saturday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The 2014 DIY Festival will be held at the Gallivan Center, 239 S. Main Street, on Aug. 8 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Aug. 9 from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. Carefully handpicked for a unique and diverse experience will be over 200 exhibitors with a large variety of handmade arts and crafts available for festival attendees. Come see the amazing performers and beautifully hand-crafted art at our big two-day annual DIY festival that is sure to bring you lots of entertainment all throughout the day!
