"Quilting is Zoopendous!" is the 2017 HMQS theme. You may be thinking that 'zoopendous' is really not a word. However, what a fun, non-word it is to describe our quilting event for 2017! It is time to have some enjoyment; time to experience the amusement and pleasure of viewing a large menagerie of quilts from all over the country and even some from other countries. Every quilt is as unique as an animal in a zoo varying in sizes, colors and features. We encourage our quilt makers to be distinctive and rare; to create a quilt that reflects their exclusive quilters instinct.
As you roam our quilt area, you will want to have an up close and personal inspection of the workmanship of our many talented piecers and quilters. You will be tempted to pet and touch the quilts. For your safety and that of the quilts, please ask any of our zoo keepers to assist you.
