The World Folkfest, is the Largest International Folk Dance Festival in the United States. A Member of the International Organization of Folk Art, the World Folkfest, celebrates over Thirty Years of bringing International Folk Dance to the people of Utah.
An annual event, residing among the Wastach Mountain Range, in the picturesque town of Springville, Utah. For one week a year, the festival welcomes nightly, nearly 300 participants to the Spring Acres Arts Park, greeted by beautiful scenery and enthusiastic crowds. Each participating ensemble, some traveling for days to reach America, brings with them their unique cultural, brought to life by their colorful costumes, hand clapping music and cultural diverse dances.
As the countdown to the Thirty-first Annual World Folkfest begins, the anticipation of Welcoming the World starts to buzz. The Board of Directors have been working for months, going through applications and hand selecting the International Ensembles that will be invited, to gather as Nations in celebration of, One World One Stage.

Also at work are the hundreds of volunteers that make, The World Folkfest a unique experience to participants and locals alike. The World Folkfest is unique in historically housing all International Guest with local, volunteer families; Our Host Families. These amazing families open their homes and heart for one week, inviting guests of the World Folkfest to, come as strangers, but leave as friends. The World Folkfest is truly a festival built on friendship and love.

The World Awaits! We invite you come laugh, smile, and clap along, as The World Folkfest whisks you away on an journey around the world, in one night. Preforming nightly live between, July 31 - August 5, 2017 - 7:30p. With a FREE Street Dance at 8p, July 31, 2017 @ The Springville Museum of Art. Prior to evening performances at the Arts Park, audience members can sample treats from around the world at international food booths, mingle with performers and purchase items from the various folk dance groups and enjoy a Pre Show, starting at 6:30p.
2017 Invited Countries: Austria, Belarus, Chile, Columbia, Ecuador, The Republic of Georgia, Indonesia, Nepal, Peru, Romania and Slovakia!
